Empowering and Engaging Others (OC)

With the growing expectations of increasingly demanding employees, the competencies of managers to effectively empower and engage others are key to improving individual, organizational and business performance.  This one-day session provides tools and techniques and builds confidence and practice for effective dialogue that improves employee performance. This live virtual session will be delivered as a two-segment session. (Nov 23 & 24, 1:00 pm - 4:30 pm each day).

OBJECTIVE:
With the growing expectations of increasingly demanding employees, the competencies of managers to effectively empower and engage others are key to improving individual, organizational and business performance.  This one-day session provides tools and techniques and builds confidence and practice for effective dialogue that improves employee performance.  This, in turn, drives organisational performance that delivers business performance outcomes.

LEARNING OUTCOMES:
After completing this session, participants will be able to:

  • identify their style of management and its impact on individual and team performance,
  • evaluate their own and their team's values, beliefs, biases and assumptions and the impact on performance,
  • introduce the "core" competencies of empowerment and engagement,
  • assess these competencies against management "best practice",
  • introduce tools and techniques to support engagement in diverse situations, and
  • demonstrate increased confidence in engaging and empowering employees to improve performance.

Delivered in an on-line environment using a range of virtual learning tools, this course will offer an opportunity for participants to understand and develop:
