Employee Delegation, Engagement & Empowerment (OC)

Learn how to delegate to engage, empower, and develop employee talent, and how to clear your plate to focus on the strategic work you should be doing at your level of leadership. This half-day workshop will take you beyond delegation and empowerment to Situational and Participatory Leadership.

OBJECTIVE:
Employee engagement is one of the most powerful drivers of effort, motivation, and productivity. It is also a crucial change management strategy. And when combined with delegation, employee engagement can be used to empower and develop employees. This hands-on, interactive workshop will show you how to delegate to engage, empower, and develop employee talent, and how to clear your plate to focus on the strategic work you should be doing at your level of leadership.
Most people assume that delegation and empowerment are “all or nothing”: either I do it or you do it. But this is not the case. There are five levels of delegation and using them all makes you a more flexible leader, enables you to offer more nuanced development opportunities to your employees, and helps you produce more consistent results as a leader. We will show you how to make your employees part of the solution by engaging them in the challenges and opportunities of the business. This half-day workshop will take you beyond delegation and empowerment to Situational and Participatory Leadership.

WHO WILL BENEFIT:
All leaders who want to engage, delegate, and empower more effectively, and generate better results from those crucial leadership practices.

LEARNING OUTCOMES:
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • improve employee engagement, empowerment, and trust,
  • add rigor to the way they delegate: communication and accountability,
  • use the five levels of delegation for engagement, empowerment, and development,
  • offer the coaching support employees need at each level of delegation, and
  • track their success with concrete metrics.
