OBJECTIVE:
The seminar targets professionals involved in the preparation and analysis of financial statements for small-and-medium-sized entities as well as practitioners who provide assurance on these financial statements. This seminar will also assist these professionals by enhancing their awareness of ongoing projects as well as upcoming areas that have been earmarked for potential future changes in the standards.

- Apply and explain new ASPE standards with effective dates in 2020 and 2021, including:
- Retractable or Mandatory Redeemable Shares,
- Related Party Financial Instruments
- the new application guidance for revenue recognition
- Understand the changes in accounting for agriculture inventory under new section ASPE 3041
- Identify changes and improvements in relation to “common deficiencies”
- Locate relevant publications (with links).
PREREQUISITE:
Participants should be familiar with existing ASPE Standards.
