Advanced Budgeting: The Value Equation (OC)
The course will provide leaders and budget professionals with a company-wide budgeting process. Briefly reviewing basic budget techniques will get the participants into a budgeting mindset. Then, more advanced techniques will be applied to the fundamental framework, focusing on building a reliable number set while engaging employees to participate in budgeting and commit to corporate goals. This live virtual seminar is offered in collaboration with CPA Western Provinces. The content is applicable to all participants.
Course Description
The course will establish basic budgeting terms and introduce advanced techniques for Chartered Professional Accountants (CPAs) through lectures (presentations), discussions, and group case study analysis. Participants will understand the importance of budgeting, the different types of budgets, the steps, models, and tools, such as artificial intelligence (AI), to create and implement a budget through effective communication while factoring in the corporate value equation.
Applicable for
CPAs in any sector or level or those at senior levels who want to create or influence effective budgets.

- The CAGE method will be introduced

- bottom-up planning and proposal of what will be offered and a budget to produce products from the product and service design team while factoring in future volume, with input from the sales and marketing team

- engaging the sales and marketing team to plan the budget's revenue streams.
