Employee Engagement-Exploring What Works (OC)

The Myths of Motivation and Workplace Surveys

OBJECTIVE:
Employee engagement has been a major focus for organizations over the last 20 years but overall, we have seen very little increase in overall engagement during that time.

The research clearly shows that Employee Engagement and increasing motivation is a clear competitive advantage - organizations with an engaged workforce outperform those with non-engaged workforces with 22% higher profitability, 21% better productivity, and 41% reduction in absenteeism.

The challenge is that engagement takes time and most organizations focus on the wrong things. In this session we will share 6 things that workplaces often believe improve employee engagement that don’t and the one thing that does make a difference. Participants will also gain valuable insights into the myths of motivation and how they can transition to new approaches to increase motivation which will not only have significant impacts on your workplace culture but ultimately your bottom line.

WHO WILL BENEFIT:
Anyone responsible for motivating and engaging a team of employees

LEARNING OUTCOMES:
Participants will develop a stronger understanding of:

  • things people think move the employee engagement needle (that actually don’t) and the one thing that makes all the difference when it comes to meaningfully increasing engagement in any organization,
  • the myths you’ve been sold and 5 new strategies to motivate the individuals on your team so they can thrive,
  • how you can obtain clear data and direct information about what your organization is doing well, and insight into where there’s opportunity, and
  • how to meaningfully measure leadership effectiveness in your organization through surveys.

An email will be sent a few days before the session from CPA Saskatchewan to the participants with course materials and the live stream access link.
